Here's an older Doctor's office display, most likely from an orthopedic doctor who handle knee replacements. As you can see, the clear top opens off to reveal a removable tendon and knee bone joint. 

This particular specimen has seen more wear and tear the a 300 lb linebacker. The pegs to hold the clear plastic covering on have long been broken off, and someone used scotch tape to hold the piece together.
